About WB-CSIRT

Over the past years, most states and organizations have been facing an increasing risk of cyber-attacks. To mitigate this risk, organizations are hiring experts to perform vulnerability assessments and comply with best practices. In addition, advanced technologies have been developed to protect organizations' networks and data. Despite all this effort and expense, computer security remains an engaging problem. The more states and organizations are equipping themselves to fend off their installations from cyber-attacks, the more, sophisticated mechanisms are being deployed by the attackers. In order to address this challenge, a well-equipped in-house incident response team in the state has been set up as the West Bengal State Computer Incident Response Team (WBSCIRT).
