This event involved a meeting with all the State Government Department's Information Security Officers (ISO) and Information Security Technical Officers (ISTO) to discuss cyber security preparedness, strategies, and incident response readiness. The event emphasized cross-departmental coordination, improving awareness, and ensuring the state's cyber infrastructure is well-secured.

A video conference was conducted on 28th July with all District ISOs and ISTOs to discuss key cybersecurity updates and coordination strategies. Officials from the Department of IT & Electronics, Government of West Bengal, including Additional Chief Secretary (Dept. of IT & E, Government of West Bengal) and the Director WBCSIRT and other senior dignitaries, addressed the participants. The session emphasized enhanced coordination and incident response readiness across all districts.

The Director, WBCSIRT attended a CERT-In Conference at New Delhi on December 6, 2024 and had a meeting with Shri Sanjay Bahl, Director General, CERT-In. This meeting with Shri Sanjay Bahl, Director General of CERT-IN, focused on enhancing collaboration and sharing insights on cybersecurity measures.

The West Bengal Cyber Security Incident Response Team (WBCSIRT) organized a meeting with all the departments of the state government to increase awareness regarding Cyber Security Incident Response for the government infrastructure and websites. The nominated Information Security Officer (ISO), Information Security Technical Officer (ISTO), and Incident Response Team (IRT) of the departments or other representatives from the departments joined this meeting. The Director, WBCSIRT addressed the audience, and he stressed on securing the government infrastructure, increasing preparedness for Cyber Security Incident Response among government departments and nurturing skills related to Cybersecurity among the government employees. The dignitaries who were present during these meetings were Shri Hari Kishore Kusumakar, IPS, CISO, Govt. of West Bengal, Shri Sumant Sahay, IAS, Joint Secretary, Dept. of IT and Electronics, Govt. of West Bengal, Shri Manjit Nayak, Director STPI, Kolkata, Shri Zeeshan Khan, Deputy Secretary, Dept. of IT&E, Govt. of West Bengal, Shri Kausik Halder, Manager, Webel and others.
